I've always believed that I am a citizen as well as whatever else I am. Most of what we do has a political dimension, beginning with the question of whether or not we're free to do it at all.
So when a subject comes up that engages my political instincts, I feel I ought to speak out. One topic that is urgent at the moment is that of rights and freedoms. Here is an article I wrote on the subject:
